To create this photograph a 16×16 foot catch basin, lined with 20 foot wide waterproof sheet plastic, was built in the studio. A hose was run from a standard hot/cold faucet up through the studio rafters where it was connected to a chrome pipe, which was connected to a rain style shower head. Eight black acrylic panels, 4 feet x 8 feet, were used to line the basin to give the floor depth and reflection. The wooden chair was painted with silver waterproof paint.
